I have just replaced a wirless router with the new TEW-673GRU from TrendNet (was a WRT54GX from Linksys). Prior to installing this router I had no difficulties. After installing the router I have difficulties with Lotus Notes.

The 2 Notes Environments:
1) Notes Client 8.0.2 using VPN and wired to the router - NO problems
2) Notes Client 8.0.2 NO VPN and wired to the router - Problems

I have made sure the router MTU size is 1500 and the port 1352 is enabled. The Notes Client is set to compressed and encryption.

Symptom:

When I try to open a database across the internet there is an initial delay of 35 to 45 seconds before opening the DB. But, if I cancel and retry immediately, it opens immediately.

Once opened, it is working from that point.... if I wait a period of time (replication still works) and then try to open a DB, I get the delay again.

When the attempt is going to be delayed I DO NOT see the message: "Connecting to xxx over TCPIP"... the 'lightning bolt' just appears. When the connect is going to be successful, I see the message "Connecting to xxx over TCPIP" flash quickly then the DB opens.

Please help with any suggestions.
